Tour Plan

  • Arrival in Tashkent at 04:50. At the airport exit, you will be met by an Italian-speaking guide and driver holding a sign with your name. Transfer to the hotel with early check-in and time for rest. From 07:00 to 10:00 breakfast at the hotel and time to refresh. Meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby and start a full-day excursion in Tashkent. Visit the modern part of the city including Independence Square, Amir Timur Square, State Museum of the Temurids, Applied Arts Museum, Alisher Navoi Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Tashkent Metro. Lunch at the Plov Centre (not included). After lunch, continue the tour in the old city visiting the Hazrati Imam Complex, including the mausoleum of Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi, Mui Mubarak Madrasah where one of the oldest Qurans is preserved, and the famous Chorsu Bazaar. Free time. Dinner at the “Khan Chapan” restaurant (not included). Transfer to the hotel after dinner. Overnight in Tashkent. Duration of sightseeing: 5–6 hours.
  • Early morning transfer to the local airport for a flight to Urgench (1093 km, 1 h 40 min). Arrival in Urgench and transfer to Khiva (30 km, 35 min). Start sightseeing in the ancient city within the Itchan Kala (12th–19th centuries): visit Kunya Ark fortress, Kalta Minor, Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah, Juma Mosque Khiva with its 212 wooden columns, and Tash Khovli Palace. Lunch and free time. Continue sightseeing with Ak Mosque Khiva, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, Islam Khoja Minaret and the Allakuli Khan Caravanserai. Dinner at the “Terrasa” restaurant (not included). Overnight in Khiva. Duration of sightseeing: about 5 hours.
  • In the morning, depart from Khiva and drive to Bukhara (480 km, 7–8 hours). The route passes through the Kyzylkum Desert, following the ancient paths once used by caravans of the Great Silk Road transporting porcelain and spices for centuries. Arrival in Bukhara in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel. Time for rest and overnight at the hotel.
  • As cafés and restaurants along the way are basic and offer limited options, it is recommended to take a packed lunch (your hotel or guide can assist you with arrangements in advance).
  • Please note that some parts of the road are in poor condition, which may affect travel time.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and enjoy a walking sightseeing tour in the Old City of Bukhara. Visit Lyabi-Khauz Complex, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor Minor Madrasah, the historic trading domes, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Mir-i-Arab Madrasah, as well as Ulugh Beg Madrasah Bukhara and Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah. Continue to Ark of Bukhara, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Ismail Samani Mausoleum and Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum. In the evening, enjoy dinner with folklore and fashion show at Nadir Devon Begi madrasah (included). Overnight at the hotel. Duration of sightseeing: 6–7 hours.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and meet your guide to start the day with visits to the sacred site of Bahauddin Naqshband and the Chor-Bakr Necropolis. Continue to Sitorai Mokhi Khosa, the summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara, a unique combination of Oriental and Russian architectural styles. Transfer to Gijduvan (48 km, ~1 hour) and visit the Gijduvan Ceramics Center. Meet the master Alisher Narzullaev, one of the most renowned ceramic artists in Uzbekistan. Activities include a tour of ceramic workshops, demonstration of traditional techniques, master classes, a ceramics museum showcasing works of five generations, and a ceramics gallery. Participate in a cooking master class preparing a traditional Uzbek dish and baking Gijduvan bread, followed by lunch with your own creations. In the afternoon, drive to Samarkand (233 km, ~3.5 hours). Arrival and hotel check-in. Overnight at the hotel.
  • If traveling by van or bus, the journey may take approximately one hour longer.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby and start a full-day city tour in Samarkand. Visit Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum and the iconic Registan Square (Sher-Dor Madrasah, Tilla-Kari Madrasah and Ulugh Beg Madrasah). Walk from Registan Square to Siyob Bazaar along Islam Karimov Street, known for its silk handicraft shops. Visit Bibi-Khanym Mosque, the largest mosque in Central Asia, and enjoy free time for shopping at Siyob Bazaar. Transfer to a national house for dinner, including a master class on cooking Samarkand plov or manti under the supervision of a chef (included). Overnight at the hotel. Duration of sightseeing: 6–7 hours.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. At 10:00 meet your guide and continue sightseeing in Samarkand: visit the Al-Maturidi Mausoleum, the tomb of Tomb of Prophet Daniel, Shah-i-Zinda complex and Ulugh Beg Observatory. Then drive to Konigil village to explore the traditional production of Samarkand paper from mulberry. Visit the silk carpet factory “Khujum”. Transfer to the hotel and enjoy free time for leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Samarkand without guide and driver until transfer to the train station. At 16:00 transfer to the railway station. Arrival in Tashkent at 16:53. Meet your driver at the exit of the station and transfer to the hotel. Time for rest. At 18:00–19:00 transfer to the city center and enjoy a leisurely walk to the Tashkent Singing Fountains, where you can admire the colorful lights and musical fountain show. Farewell dinner at the “Sim-Sim” restaurant (included).
  • At 03:00 transfer to Tashkent International Airport. Departure at 06:10. End of the tour.
