Tour Plan
- Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by an Advantour driver and transferred to the hotel. Check-in at noon. Meet your guide and start sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan, the largest city in Central Asia. Visit the Old City including Khast-Imam Complex, where the world-famous Quran of Caliph Uthman is preserved. Explore Chorsu Bazaar. Then take a ride on the Tashkent Metro to the city center and visit the Applied Arts Museum. Walk past Alisher Navoi Opera and Ballet Theatre to Amir Timur Square, where the city tour ends. Overnight at the hotel.
- Early morning transfer to the local airport for a flight to Urgench (1093 km, 1 h 40 min). Arrival in Urgench and transfer to the hotel in Khiva (30 km, 35 min). Later, start a guided walking tour. Spend the day in Itchan Kala, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah, Muhammad Rahim Khan Madrasah, Kalta Minor, Juma Mosque Khiva, Tash Khovli Palace, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum and Islam Khoja Minaret. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
- In the morning, depart from Khiva and drive to Bukhara (480 km, 7–8 hours). The journey проходит через Kyzylkum Desert, following the ancient caravan routes of the Great Silk Road once used for transporting porcelain and spices. Arrival in Bukhara in the late afternoon, check-in at the hotel. Time for rest and overnight at the hotel.
- As cafés and restaurants along the way are basic with limited menus, it is recommended to take a packed lunch (your hotel or guide can help arrange it in advance).
- Some parts of the road are currently in poor condition, so travel time may vary.
- Enjoy a walking sightseeing tour with a guide in the Old City of Bukhara. Visit Lyabi-Khauz Complex, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor Minor Madrasah, the historic trading domes, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Mir-i-Arab Madrasah, as well as Ulugh Beg Madrasah Bukhara and Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah. Continue to Ark of Bukhara, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Ismail Samani Mausoleum and Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum. Overnight at the hotel.
- Start the day with a visit to Sitorai Mokhi Khosa, the summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir, a unique site combining Oriental and Russian architectural styles. Continue to the mausoleum of Bahauddin Naqshband and the Chor-Bakr Necropolis. Enjoy free time in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
- In the morning, depart from Bukhara and drive to Samarkand via Gijduvan (48 km, ~1 hour). Stop in Gijduvan to visit the Gijduvan Ceramics Center and workshop. Meet the master Alisher Narzullaev, one of the most respected ceramic artists in modern Uzbekistan. Activities include a tour of ceramic workshops with demonstrations of traditional techniques, master classes, a ceramics museum displaying works of five generations, and a ceramics gallery. Participate in a cooking master class to prepare a traditional Uzbek dish and bake Gijduvan bread. Enjoy your handmade meal for lunch. In the afternoon, continue driving to Samarkand (233 km, ~3.5 hours). Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
- If traveling by van or bus, the journey may take approximately one hour longer.
- Meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby to start the city tour. Visit the spectacular Registan Square, the remains of Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Siyob Bazaar, Ulugh Beg Observatory, Shah-i-Zinda necropolis and Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, the final resting place of Timur. Overnight at the hotel.
- Your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel in Samarkand. Depart to Shakhrisabz (90 km, ~2 hours). Enjoy a short city tour visiting Dor-us Saodat Complex with the Jahangir Mausoleum, the remains of Ak-Saray Palace, and Dor-ut Tilavat Ensemble including Kok Gumbaz Mosque and the burial site of Timur’s father. In the afternoon, return to Samarkand. Overnight at the hotel.

- Check-out from the hotel before noon. Continue sightseeing with visits to Afrasiab Museum and the Tomb of Prophet Daniel. Then drive to Konigil village to explore the traditional production of Samarkand paper from mulberry. After the экскурсия, enjoy free time with a car and driver at your disposal. In the late afternoon, transfer to the railway station to take the high-speed Afrosiyob train to Tashkent (travel time approx. 2 h 10 min). Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.
